As a part of the project ’’Enhancement and development of the professional expertise of the Romanian audiovisual sector" Internews Europe is organising a study trip for Romanian National Audiovisual Council CNA staff. During 6-day tour in Paris Internews was happy to welcome the CNA group. Eight representatives of Romanian CNA from different departments (Radio Monitoring, Legislation/Regulations, European Integration, Monitoring) learnt about the way of working of other EU regulators. This new knowledge allows them to observe and compare different models of management and institutional structures and gain knowledge about the com-position of different authorities.

On Friday 1st of June eight representatives of Romanian CNA finished their study tour in Paris. The programme for Paris included visits to:

  •  INA (The Audiovisual National Institute). INA is the first audiovisual archive center in the world and the first digital image databank in Europe. Visitors from Romania met with Mrs Stéphanie Rabourdin Godbert, Advisor of International Department. She introduced the audiovisual archive system «Dépôt Légal» and explained SNC, digital circulation saving (Système de "sauvegarde numérique de circulation").
  •  CSA, the Conseil superieur de l’audiovisuel is an independent administrative authority that was created to guarantee broadcasting freedom. The meeting was held with Thierry Vachey, assistant to the direction of the audio-visual operators, Laurent Amar, Director of European and International Affairs, Maryse Brugiere, Programme Director and Sylvie Clement-Cuzin, Legal Director.
  •  Mediametrie. It pursues the expansion of its range of services and its field of action by working on the Internet and new media, by proposing new products intended for specific users and by offering the products and services made necessary by changes in public behaviour in the field of audiovisual broadcasting on the international market.

Now the CNA group is continuing the study trip in London that will last until June, 6th. And 11-14 June Internews proposes the study tour in Brussels

The project is funded by the European Commission - PHARE programme
