Soon after the earthquake in 2005, Internews implemented an emergency response project in Pakistan. The one-hour radio programme, ’’Jazba-E-Tameer’’ (’’The Desire to Rebuild’’), disseminated vital information on the humanitarian response to victims of the disaster. Internews worked to improve the quality and quantity of information reaching Pakistani earthquake-affected communities.
Two years after the earthquake, the AFD and Internews Europe brought together its partners and various media professionals for a conference-debate in Paris on the topic of theforeign intervention after a natural disaster.
